The Idea
BusyBee Teachers envisioned an EdTech platform to simplify managing substitute teachers and eliminate the chaos of last-minute classroom coverage.

The Solution
Building BusyBee’s vision took strategy and collaboration.
The development process was split into two key phases to ensure functionality and scalability.
Phase 1: Building the basics
We focused on creating a reliable foundation with features like:
- A user-friendly interface for easy navigation.
- Payment integration for quick transactions.
- Accurate payroll reporting to reduce errors.
This initial phase prioritized simplicity and usability but revealed scalability concerns during an external audit.
The database structure needed a complete overhaul.
To address the scalability issue, we rebuilt the app from the ground up with a more robust architecture, ensuring long-term reliability.
Phase 2: Adding features
Once the basics were stable, we expanded functionality to provide deeper tools for schools and administrators while keeping all systems integrated.
