The Challenge
RyuApp set out to make finding trusted pet caregivers simpler and more reliable. Existing apps felt generic, offered little personalization, and lacked the intuitive tools owners and caregivers needed to connect confidently.

The biggest challenges included
- Limited personalization, leaving pet owners unsure about caregiver fit.
- Complicated request flows that discouraged consistent use.
- Weak communication tools that made coordination stressful.
- Generic design that failed to build trust or community.
- The need to protect sensitive user and pet information.
It was about creating a community-first platform emphasizing trust, transparency, and ease of use. Budget constraints added another layer of complexity, requiring careful prioritization of essential features to make the launch achievable.

The Idea
RyuApp was created to connect pet owners with caregivers through tools that made matching clear and request handling straightforward. The focus was on profiles with meaningful details, flexible request options, and secure account features that gave both sides confidence in the process.
Objectives included

Build detailed profiles for caregivers and pets so owners can quickly assess fit.

Design a request system with expiration dates and support for multiple pets in one submission.
Add functionality for caregivers to mark favorite pets and highlight preferred requests.
Provide a dashboard that displays caregiver listings and requests in one place.
Ensure secure account management, with simple updates for email, phone, and passwords.
Together, these elements shaped a platform that aims to make caregiver selection faster, clearer, and more reliable than existing pet service apps.
